Throughout my sporting career as a teenager I was always injured. Despite my ability to play these sports to first team, county and national levels, something in my body would give out. I was demanding something that my body in competition time, was incapable of giving. It came back to the way I trained and recovered. The way I trained was inefficient and tailored for the wrong aspects of performance. Through the last 6 years of research and qualifications, I have been able to train and programme to a level that allowed me to join and serve within the military. Here I was able to continue my learning and qualifications with men and women who were capable of demanding the excellence from their bodies and minds, for almost every situation. This forced me to up my game in terms of programming, rest and the execution of the skills required. Fast forward 5 years, I am now Personal Training (PT) full time, with the knowledge and experience from the last 10 years of training myself and colleagues. Having 3 years experience as a licensed PT working with clients from first team rugby, to service men and women, to children and to full time parents.
